Staring with the course challenge in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade is a good way to remember some of the foundational skills you will see on the GED. Once you have taken the Course Challenge in Khan Academy you can continue to practice within Khan Academy or take a practice Ready test. Then use the Ready report and this website to target specific skills that you need to work on. This approach is best for people who don't feel confident in their math skills or who plan on taking an extended period of time to prepare for the test. Don't forget to familiarize yourself with the GED calculator and formula sheet.
The skills highlighted within the webpages of this site fall into two groups: they are either some of most frequently tested items on the test or they are skills that seem difficult, but are quite easy if you know the process. The blue highlighted Khan Academy exercises are similar in difficulty to what is on the real GED. If you need to build your foundation for the skill, choose the other headings above the blue exercises to develop your skills. This approach is best for people who are comfortable with basic math. Note: the blue highlighted exercises are not a comprehensive list of items on the test but rather a list that should provide a high return on your time. Don't forget to familiarize yourself with the GED calculator and formula sheet.
